Swing Check Valves is a kind of valve whose opening and closing parts are circular disc and depend on their own weight and medium pressure to produce action to block medium backflow. Is an automatic valve class, also known as the check valve, one-way valve, backflow valve or isolation valve. The valve disc movement mode is divided into lifting type and swing type. Lift check valves are similar to globe valves in design, lacking only the stem to drive the disc. The medium flows in from the inlet (lower side) and flows out from the outlet (upper side). Valve is opened when inlet pressure is greater than the sum of disc weight and flow resistance. On the contrary, the valve is closed when the medium backflows. Swing check valves have a slanted disc that rotates around the shaft and work in a similar way to lift check valves. Check valve is often used as the bottom valve of pumping device, which can prevent the backflow of water. The combination of stop valve and globe valve can play the role of safety isolation. The disadvantage is high resistance, poor sealing when closing.
