API6D Globe valves, also known as cut-off valve, belongs to the forced sealing valve, so when the valve is closed, pressure must be applied to the disc to force the sealing surface not to leak. When the medium enters the valve by the valve disc lower part, the operation force needs to overcome the resistance, is the valve stem and the packing friction force and the thrust which produces by the medium pressure, closes the valve the force is bigger than opens the valve, therefore the valve stem diameter must be big, otherwise the valve stem top bends the fault. According to the connection mode is divided into three: flange connection, screw connection, welding connection. After the appearance of the self-sealing valve, the medium flow direction of the globe valve will be changed into the valve cavity from the top of the disc. At this time, under the action of the medium pressure, the force of closing the valve is small, while the force of opening the valve is large, and the diameter of the valve stem can be correspondingly reduced. At the same time, under the medium action, this form of valve is also more rigorous.
